5. In order to prove his/her commitment to continuing their education, all semi-finalists will be asked to undergo an interview process.

The most important criterion for this scholarship is the degree to which a student has made significant personal as well as academic improvement. However, the decision is not based simply on whose mark has gone up the most.

There must be progress in social behavior, cooperation with teachers and other students, completion of homework, study habits, and general attitude.
This progress does not necessarily have to occur over the current academic year, but may stretch over two or more years.
Proof of college, technical school acceptance and registration must be submitted to the scholarship committee if chosen.

The Kerr Family Scholarship
The Kerr Family Scholarship
This scholarship is sponsored by the Kerr family and dedicated to continuing the legacy of William Trammell III. Their act of compassion and kindness represent the true personification of what William Trammell III represented as an Educator, mentor, colleague, and friend.
This scholarship is sponsored by the Kerr family and dedicated to continuing the legacy of William Trammell III. Their act of compassion and kindness represent the true personification of what William Trammell III represented as an Educator, mentor, colleague, and friend.
Students must have a GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Students must complete a minimum of 20 total hours of community service beginning in grade 11 and ending in grade 12. Documentation is required.
Students must submit a recommendation from 1 faculty sponsor member referencing the student's positive peer encouragement and school spirit.
Student Must have regular involvement within his/her local church. A reference letter from Pastor is required.
If a student is an athlete, must receive recommendations from coaches.
Criteria 1-5 will need final approval from the student's Principal or Assistant Principal.
